1965 – The Who play the Dungeon Club in Nottingham

1966 – The Who play the Imperial Ballroom in Nelson, Lancashire

1966 – “I’m a Boy” reaches its official chart peak in the U.K. at #2.

1966 – The Who is on the cover of Disc and Music Echo with the headline “Why pop art is now just OLD HAT.” Pete says The Who are pretty much finished with the pop-art clothing of a year before. His new thing is “writing musicals and operettas.” He says the band’s biggest ambition is to break in the U.S. and that Who fans there already consider them the third-biggest British band behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones although Pete concedes The Who haven’t made it to that position yet.

1966 – Melody Maker reports that The Who will be on Ready, Steady, Go! with a 16 minute spot

1966 – Record Mirror features a photo of The Who on the cover

1967 – The October issue of Beat Instrumental carries another “Keith Moon Column” as well as a feature on Keith’s new drum set

1969 – Part two of The Who’s Concertgebouw show is broadcast on AVRO radio.

1971 – Beat Instrumental carries an ad for Ned Callan Guitars featuring John

1975 – Keith Moon appears on John Peel’s BBC Radio One show to preview side one of The Who’s new album The Who By Numbers.

1977 – Another single from Roger’s solo album One Of The Boys, “Avenging Annie” backed with “The Prisoner,” hits the U.S. charts. It peaks at #88 in Billboard, #87 in Cash Box.

1982 – Milwaukee DJ for WQFM, Tim “The Rock ‘n Roll Animal” U’ren ends his two-week stay on his radio station’s outdoor ledge as Roger calls and says The Who will schedule a date in Milwaukee

1984 – Barry Gibb’s solo album Now Voyager is released with backup vocals by Roger on the song “Fine Line.” You can listen to it on YouTube here

2001 – Uncut magazine features The Who on this month’s front cover

2005 – A documentary about the G8 summit and the protests around it, entitled Won’t Get Fooled Again, premiers in Edinburgh

2017 – The Who play the Estadio Unico de La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina
