1964 – The Who play the Florida Room in Brighton to play the first of four Wednesdays.
1967 – The Who play the first of two nights at The Village Theatre in New York City. The Vagrants, with guitarist Leslie West, and The Rich Kids open for them.
1967 – Disc magazine reports that a new tour with The Who, Traffic, the Tremeloes and The Herd won’t happen because of an upcoming U.S. tour by The Who.
1971 – The Who play the first of two nights at the Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida
1972 – A new record featuring unadulterated Who is released in the U.S. “The Relay “ backed with “Waspman “ peaks at #39 in Billboard and #33 in Cash Box.
1972 – Keith attends a benefit for the Southern California Council of Free Clinics at Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles. Dressed in drag, he introduces Stevie Wonder and Shanana.
1973 – The Who play the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas
1975 – The Who play The Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
1977 – CBS television aired “Rolling Stone…The 10th Anniversary” which featured an interview with Keith as well as a skit with Keith and Steve Martin (some of which can be seen in the “Kids are Alright”
1993 – Pete’s musical version of Hughes’ children’s’ story The Iron Man opens in London for a short run. David Thacker is the Production Director; Anthony Castro is the Music Director.
2005 – Pete posts a pdf file on his site in response to recent questions about whether charities such as Live 8 do any good for poor countries. Ultimately Pete has to say that he has no answers: “I am uncomfortable about being received as someone who might be able to impart anything other than the elegant dividing of time known as music. It is what I do best. Because my work requires me to use words, without the impetuosity of youth I stumble today over finding something useful to say. I do not see it as my job to inspire anybody; that would be arrogant. But I must accept that it seems my mere words do inspire some people.”
2006 – The Who play the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
2007 – Pete and Roger tape an appearance on Later With Jools Holland. It airs on November 30th
2010 – er performs at the Collars & Coats Gala Ball at the Battersea Power Station in South London. The show benefits the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
