1966 – The Who play the Odeon Cinema in Derby
1966 – “The mute Who speaks up about the others” is New Musical Express’ title for an interview with John. He says he considers Pete and Roger to be “just workmates” but says the band has settled its differences since he and Keith considered leaving The Who back in May.If anyone has a better copy of this article I’d love to get a photo/scan of it!
1967 – Around this date, on their way back to England, The Who stop in Las Vegas. While there, Pete writes the song “Tattoo” as well as the unreleased tunes “Boats Are Coming In” and “Touring Inside U.S.”, the latter featuring a quote of The Beach Boys’ “Surfin’ U.S.A.”
1967 – Chris Stamp tells Disc magazine that Pete’s new rock opera “Rael” will either be The Who’s next single in Britain or will appear on the new album they plan to release in October.

1971 – Who’s Next is certified gold by the RIAA.
1975 – The new Who album, originally to be entitled “Car Tunes” but with the title changed to The Who By Numbers, receives its final mastering at IBC Studios, London. John, referring to the album’s generally downbeat tone, later says the title was changed because “basically the songs weren’t the kind you’d play in the car unless you wanted to drive off a bridge.”
1977 – Pete’s album made in conjunction with Ronnie Lane, Rough Mix, is released in the U.K. It reaches #44 in the U.K. charts
1979 – The Who play Madison Square Gardens in New York, New York
1986 – Pete holds a charity sale for his Double O Charity. For £25, purchasers get a ticket to a Sadler Wells’ play and an invitation to a party afterwards at the Limelight Club.
1995 – Roger, John, Simon Townshend, Zak Starkey and other members of the extended Who perform 21 Who songs at a Who fan convention at the Bottom Line in London.
2006 – The Who play the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts
2017 – Pete presents “Classic Quadrophenia” at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California
